USMC receives Driver Improvement Program (DIP) training

Driver Training Programs recently provided AAA Driver Improvement Program training to six members of the United States Marine Corps.

Tailored to the base’s unique driving conditions, the five-day course consisted of classroom and range exercises covering defensive driving, risk management, proper visual search techniques and vehicle control.

“I thought the whole presentation from day one to Friday was well worth the time and effort,” one attendee said. “The driving range really cemented the point home about visual skills, timing and space.”

Along with the USMC, an increasing number of Army, Navy and Coast Guard commands are using DIP.

“DIP is a quality driver training product that adheres to the highest safety standards and stands out among competitor offerings,” Lead Instructor Rich Chidester said. “It is an honor to be recognized through continued collaboration with the military, and AAA is proud to assist the USMC in meeting its driver training and safety needs.”
