An airbag moves up to 200 mph when triggered. They are designed to explode at an impact speed of 19 mph and the bag inflates within one-twenty-fifth of a second of a crash.
The world’s first motor-incident was in 1769. The vehicle – a steam-powered vehicle designed by Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot – is still preserved in the Conservatoire Nationale des Arts et Métiers in Paris.
